I have been really bad about posting. Lily is doing great! She had a great birthday and has been walking everywhere for about a month now. She loves the freedom! She also has become a tease. She loves to tease us! She gets so excited when Mark comes home from work and distraught when he leaves for work if she is awake! She spends her days pretending to talk to Dad on the phone, caring for her babies, or emptying the kitchen drawers!

"I want more chocolate cake" Can't imagine where she got that attitude from.

It is hard to believe that Lily is 8 months old. These eight months sure have gone a lot faster than the 8 months I was pregnant. She is growing up so fast and is so much fun! We just love her! Some of her favorite things to do are: put everything in her mouth, play with her toys, squeal, talk- especially saying "Dada, " take bathes, clap, eat dry cereal in her high chair, go swimming, look at pictures on the computer, be tickled, play with her family(she is loving having Sam here), and smile at total strangers. She isn't crawling yet, which is fine with me -- I don't know if I am ready for that yet. She can scoot around some to get what she is after. We took Mommy/baby swim lessons in June and she loved them. She wasn't scared of the water, even when I took her under. She got pretty good at kicking on her stomach and back and even blew some bubbles. It was a lot of fun to do with her and I plan to do it again in the fall.

Sam arrived on Saturday and we took him, Becca, Lily, cousin Syd, and Becca's roommate to 7 peaks. They all had a great time. Lily hung out in the Lazy River and Wave pool in her floatie and had a great time.

It's been a crazy month

We have had a crazy month. We moved last weekend and are still trying to finish cleaning out the old house and get everything unpacked at the new house. Lily seems to like her room and is sleeping in her crib out of our room! The other day she was really fussy in the car and when I got her out this how she looked!

We had Dakota spend the weekend with us! I don't know how people have twins! It was very busy but fun! The girls had fun together but the dog was not happy to have two babies in the house!

Sam will be here in a few weeks for the summer and the other boys come later. Our goal is to get all unpacked before he gets here.

Mother's Day was really special this year! I feel so blessed to have Lily in my life and to be her Mom. We are so lucky to have such a sweet, happy girl! She is just so much fun! It is so fun watching her learn new things and experience things for the first time! And her smile just melts my heart!

Lily had her 4 month doctors appointment on Friday. She now weighs 14 pounds and is 24 inches long. I can't believe how fast she is growing! The doctor said we could try rice cereal. She wasn't sure about it at first but is starting to eat it better and better!

Big Changes

There have been some big changes at the Capell house. This week I went back to work-- that was one of the hardest things I have had to do-even though I knew that Lily was being well cared for. Mark and I decided that I should be home with Lily so after working at DCFS for more than 13 years I have given my two week notice after being back at work for a whole two days. I will miss my friends at work but I am really excited that I won't have to work full time and that I will be able to take care of sweet Lily! We have also placed our house up for sale so that we can get something smaller. Of course I have to post some new photos of Miss Lily!

Sunday we had the great opportunity of having Lily blessed. I was pretty emotional during her blessing because I just felt so grateful for Lily and the happiness she has brought to Mark and I. I feel so blessed to be her Mom and have her as my daughter. It was great because we had so much family at the blessing- Katie, Becca, Dakota, all my siblings and their families, my parents, Mark's Dad, Mark's brother and his family and their kids, plus my good friend Shauna and her husband Bryan, and their kids. Lily looked beautiful in her dress.

At my shower I received a certificate for a newborn photo shoot from my in-laws. Lily had a difficult time the first day--- she didn't like being naked--- but we still got some really cute pictures. Plus, we went back for a second day in her Christmas dress. Here are some of my favorites.

A Great Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. We had all the kids with us, which was a lot of fun. Lily got to meet her brothers and spend time with them. They were all so cute with her. I was pretty proud of myself for cooking Thankgiving dinner less than a month after having a baby! Here is Lily at 4 weeks. I can't believe how fast time is flying!

We are having lots of fun with our little Lily! She had her first photo shoot--pictures soon to come-- she wasn't too happy with the shots that involved no clothes- apparently we have a modest little girl! She is such a good baby and definitly enjoys being held and snuggled! So far it appears that she is going to keep her thick dark hair. She loves to look around and take in everything that is going on with her big still looking blue eyes!

Our sweet little Lily decided to come 3 weeks early. We thought she might be coming a little early but were still quite surprised. At my doctor's appointment on the 28th the doctor was concered about my blood pressure which had started going up the week before. I ended up having non-stress tests and blood pressure tests on the 28th and 29th and got put on bed rest. We figured that we would get induced within the week. Halloween night I kept having contractions and had a difficult time sleeping but the contractions stopped. Sunday(Nov 1st) Mark and I were just getting up and my water broke. We arrived at the hospital around 9 am and were admitted within the hour. My friend Bryan was working and came and gave me my epidural while I was at a 3. I was on medicine for my blood pressure-which also can stop contractions and medicine to keep the contractions going. The labor went really smooth, except for when my blood pressure when down to 87 over 60. That got quickly corrected. Lorraine and Sydney came to visit us during the day, hoping to see the baby and Stacy came that night and hung out until the baby arrived. Around 9 pm I started pushing, taking a break for the doctor to arrive- and at 1013 pm Lily Collette arrived showing off her lungs with a great scream from the start. I was so tired but so happy to see my sweet baby girl! Weighing in at 6"7 and measuring 19 inches long.

I can't believe how fast October went! The boys came out to meet their new niece Dakota! They were only here for a weekend but it was great to see them. Katie blessed Dakota while they were here.

While the boys were here we went with Sydney up the canyon and saw paragliders. We had a real adventure as we almost ran out of gas and came down part of the canyon with the car turned off. Luckily we made it to the gas station on the last of the fumes.

We were very excited to find out that we are having a little girl! Still no name--luckily we have a lot of time left to figure that out. The boys arrive tonight for the month of July. We will have a busy summer of 4th of July activities, trip to Yellowstone with the Capell family, my brother Jared's wedding, Katie's wedding, and all the other fun things we fit into the summer. We feel so blessed to be expecting a baby and having a pretty easy pregnancy expect for the morning sickeness. Becca has moved in with us for the summer and is currently job hunting. Katie is also expecting a little girl and due in September. Mark and I have been keeping busy with the yard and our jobs. We did escape to the Zermatt over Father's Day weekend and had a very relaxing time with his brother Lance and his wife Lorraine. Last weekend Mark, Lance, and their dad went to Idaho while Lorraine and I stayed behind and had girl time!

We had a great Mother's Day weekend. Mark got me a glider for the baby! I am so excited about that. He also organized a Capell Family Dinner and made the main dish and twice baked potatoes. I was very impressed! Becca gave me a beautiful Willow Tree statue of a mother and a baby- so sweet! Hard to believe next Mother's Day we will have a 6 month old!

We just got back from our fun cruise with the boys! We had a great time, despite poor Mitchell being sick for a couple of days. The boys enjoyed the 24 hour ice cream and pizza! This weekend Mark and I went to the Zermatt for Valentines Day! (I know we go there alot but we love it). We had a great relaxing weekend. While we were there we went with Becca and her boyfriend to see "He's just not that into you" and that movie made me even more grateful for Mark and not to be dating anymore. It captures the feelings of dating pretty well for the most part! Mark also spoiled me with a massage at the Spa, which was amazing!

We are excited because Sam is coming to visit next weekend(Feb 27th) and we will get to celebrate his 12th birthday with him! Mark's back is still slowly recuperating! I feel so bad for him. Hopefully one of these days he will be back to his old self--and hopefully that is by the time we set sail next month!

Today was the Official Ribbon Cutting for the "Western Salt Lake" (aka West Valley) VA Outreach clinic that Mark works at. I went up for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The new Congressman from Utah was there. One of the speakers was a veteran who returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was really interesting to hear his story and the experiences he has had trying to recover from his injuries sustained in the war. It was also fun to meet Mark's coworkers and go to lunch with Mark afterwards. Attending the open house reminded me how grateful I am for the men and women who fight to preserve our freedoms!

I am starting this new years with a grateful heart listening to Mark nap in our room. This week has been a crazy week( I know I am behind on blogging on Christmas and will get to that this weekend). Last Saturday Mark's back was tight and throughout the day it got worse and worse until he and I ended up in the emergency room that night after a torturous ride for him to the hospital over railroad tracks and snow piles in the road. We were given some medicine and sent on our way. Sunday he slept most of the day but by Sunday night was in tremendous pain and I thought that I was going to have to call and ambulance to come get him since he was not able to move at all. Our awesome nephew Phil came over and gave Mark a blessing and muscle relaxants(both were definitely needed) and Mark was able to get some sleep through the night. Monday morning we headed back to the hospital and Mark ended up getting admitted after becoming really relaxed on pain meds (his blood pressure dropped to 89 over 40). He spent the next day and a half very drugged and barely alert. They gave him an MRI and eventually we were told that he has a herniated disk and just needs to walk and take some medications to get it calmed down. He will eventually need some physical therapy most likely. Last night we were able to come home from the hospital. Mark is actually starting to be able to walk around a little and not in the pain that he was before. We were really blessed to have great family support to help us this week, so that the boys were not totally abandoned and bored during their trip here. I am also grateful for the priesthood blessings that Mark was able to receive to bring him comfort during this difficult week!

A Busy Family Filled Sunday

We had a great day today-two baby blessings of sweet little girls. 1st we went to the blessing of Jocelyn-the granddaughter of Mark's brother. It was great to see all the Capells, as well as the extended families. While we were there we snapped some pictures for our Christmas card since we actually had all five kids in the same place at the same time! After lunch we headed to the blessing of Alexa-my brother's daughter. She is just a tiny little baby. We all had fun holding the babies today! My brother Matt is in town so it was good to see him, as well as my sister-in-laws family. It was a busy day but we all had a good time and enjoyed seeing so many relatives in one day!

Friday night despite a treacherous drive to the airport we were able to pick up the boys for the Christmas Break. It was great to see them and we couldn't believe how much Mitchell has grown. Saturday we went to the Mark's brother's Work Christmas Party and saw the movie "Seven Pounds", it was great. Afterwards we got lunch with the kids and picked up a Christmas tree. We had a fun afternoon of decorating the tree before watching the sad BYU football Game with the Capell Family. Becca and Sam with our tree

Yesterday was Becca's 20th birthday! She was in Florida for Thanksgiving so we celebrated last weekend with her and her boyfriend Lance. We used her fondue set and had a yummy fondue dinner. We just love Becca and are so proud of her!

Adios State Hospital

Yesterday was Mark's last day at the State Hospital. Monday he starts at the VA in SLC. He has really enjoyed working at the State Hospital for the last three years and developed some really good friendships-- which we hope to be able to maintain. Thursday they took him to lunch and gave him the huge card signed by staff and patients. They also gave him running shorts, a water bottle, and head band-- I guess to use to run off to his future. He felt that the shorts made a great hat!

Sunday after our ward was divided (yeah we can finally go to the church ten feet behind our house) we went to the cemetery with the Capells and some of Lorraine's family to celebrate Cameron's birthday. We let off balloons in remembrance of Cameron. It was a really special experience. Sam was really glad he was in town for this. I think it is a really good reminder of the importance of the Gospel and eternal families. It also reminds me that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us.

Afterwards we went back to our house for dinner and to spend some time with Sam before he left the following morning. It was sad as always to say good-bye to Sam but it was great to spend the weekend with him.

This last weekend Sam came to town. Over the summer he got his braces in Utah instead of Florida because they are cheaper in Utah and then we could see him more often. Sam really enjoyed having his alone time. Sam felt our house was lacking in "Halloween Spirit"

He is such a great young man! Mark's Dad Jack has been having some health problems this weekend and so we are worried about him. We just love him!

Scream Asylum

I (Sam) came out for the weekend October 22nd to October 26th and have had a great weekend, but probably the most fun thing we did this weekend was celebrating Halloween with a good old haunted house!
We went to the, "Scream Asylum." It was an amazing haunted house (very scary) and loads of fun! =)
Susan, dad (Mark), Katie, Becca, Mark (Katie's Mark), Lorraine, and Sydney all went to the house. I was surprised how brave Sydney was because this was her first haunted house and it was pretty scary!
At the beginning we had a(n) argument of who would go inside first, it was decided that Katie would go first Mark followed, then Becca, me, Sydney, Susan, dad, then Lorraine, we had a train going (we were all hooked on to each other.)
We all had a great time and a hard time near the end trying to find a way out while dodging the people with chainsaws! =)
But it was fun and I'm hoping to have this become a new Halloween tradition!

After 18 long months the braces came off! It feels great! We had a good weekend! Saturday I went to Women's Conference with Andrea and Lorraine while Mark and Lance got to hang out. Afterwards we all had dinner together and good conversation about all that is going on in the world right now!

Yesterday Becca, her boyfriend Lance, Katie, her boyfriend Mark, and his parents came to dinner. It was a fun get together. It is always good to see the girls!

I am feeling like quite the little housewife. Last night I made and canned salsa for the first time with tomatoes, jalapenos, and green peppers from our garden. Plus this fall I have made strawberry and peach jam. Now we can enjoy these all winter long!

I know I have been a total blog slacker of late. I will update soon about the fun trip Mark and I took to Jackson Hole this weekend to celebrate our upcoming 2nd wedding anniversay. We had just a great time, it was so nice and relaxing. We stayed an amazing hotel--The Teton Lodge in the Teton Village! I will add the pictures soon! Last night we went to the Bee's game with Mark's family and our niece Cassi's family. It was in honor of our nephew Cameron that passed away two years ago on August 16th when he was almost two years old. Cameron loved baseball, and it was fun to do something that he would have enjoyed. I can't believe it has been two years already since that tragic day! Cameron's life always reminds me how thankful I am to have the gospel in my life and for the fact that families are forever. Cameron

Mitch and Sam flew back to Florida today (thus the reason I have time to catch up on my blogging). It was sad as always to see them leave! But we had a great summer and had a lot of fun! They are great boys and we love them so much! I think one of the highlights for them this summer was spending time with their cousins- especially Carlee, Bodie, and Sydney! They all had a great time together.

I caught Sam as we were leaving saying goodbye to Sasha. I thought was so cute. They boys had a great time with Sasha this summer and even had a schedule of who got to sleep with her each night. Jenny, Sydney, Bodie, and Carlee stopped by to say goodbye this morning. That meant a lot to the boys. Then we went to lunch with Becca before heading to the airport! We had a good day together before they left. Next week our little Sam starts Middle School! Crazy!

Saturday was a crazy day! After checking out of the Deer Valley Lodge all the women headed back to Lance and Lorraine's house to get ready for Andrea's baby shower. She and Brandon flew in from AZ that morning. We had a great time at the shower and Andrea got lots of cute things for baby Jocelyn(due in November). It was great to see Andrea again!

This last weekend we got to stay at the Deer Valley Lodge thanks to Mark's brother Lance. He had work meetings up there and had some last minute cancellations and gave the extra rooms to us, Phil and Jenny, and Ben and Cassi(they are here visiting from VA). We had a great weekend. The weather was cooler and the lodge was amazing. We went to Red Rock Brewery (one of our favorite restaurants) , shopping at the outlets, hanging out at the hotel, and of course swimming. It was great to see Ben, Cassi, and Josh!

24th of July Trip to Midway

This year we had a great 24th of July. We went up to the Zermatt with Mark's brother Lance and his family! We had a huge three bedroom suite with a kitchen and living room. It was such a relaxing weekend. We spent most of the time hanging out at the pool.

Jack's July Visit

We had a great visit with Jack in July. Besides our 4th of July activities we saw some movies, played tennis, went to the pool, and went to 7 Peaks with Mark's job. The night at 7 Peaks was a lot of fun and we were glad the girls and their boyfriends were able to join us that night, along with Sydney and my sister Stacy and her family. We also went to Park City again. This time the boys went on the slide and the Alpine Coaster. They had a great time! It was hard for all of us when we took Jack to the airport to head back to Florida.

Tonight I went to check on Sam and he was up in his room crying because he realized that he leaves two weeks from today. I just held him and tried not to cry myself. It just stinks, and there really is nothing to say to him that really helps or can fix the situation we are in. All we can do is enjoy the next two weeks we have and look forward to the next time we have to spend together. The end of the summer is the hardest goodbye for me, because we really start feeling like a family and I really feel like I am getting to know who the boys really are again and they settle into the safety, security, and love they feel and then they leave. . . again.

Our picture finally arrived from our day in Park City a few weeks ago. We first went to lunch at the Dairy Keen in Heber and then headed to Park City. We had a fun time on the ski lift. We took it to the top and then walked around and took in the amazing views. Also when we were there we checked out the Alpine Slide and Coaster and decided we would come back and try those out when Jack was in town. It was a fun day in Park City.
Afterwards we went to my brother Charlie's house to see his family and then we stopped to get some pizza at the Pie for dinner!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. Jack arrived on the 1st of July. It was great to see him. Early on the 4th we met with up Lance, Lorraine, and Sydney and went to the Balloon Launch in Provo. We love going to watch the balloons. Afterwards we went to Magebly's Fresh for a yummy breakfast!

Later that day we went up to a barbeque at the cabin of one of Mark's high school friends- Kelly Gomez. We had a great time relaxing and watching the rafters on the Provo river. The boys had a great time shooting the people floating by with water guns. Then we headed back to town and met with Becca, her boyfriend Lance, and Lance, Lorraine, and Sydney and we went to Stadium of Fire. Katie and her Mark were also there. (Have you noticed that the girls are dating Mark and Lance--it gets really confusing at times have two Marks and two Lances in the family.)

We had a great time at Stadium of Fire- though the boys definitly thought Miley Cyrus performed for way to long. The fireworks were amazing! It was a busy but great holiday!

Rodeo

A few weeks ago I took the Mitch and Sam to the Strawberry Days Rodeo. We went with Lance, Lorraine, Sydney, Andrea, Jenny, Phil, Bodie, and Jenny's sister and her family. We a had fun time. The highlight was when Mitchell participated in the cash cow contest. He went out with a bunch of kids7-13 to chase a cow which had dollars attached to it. Mitchell was too nice to push the little kids out of the way so he only got a dollar but he had fun and we had a great time watching him run around the arena.

Jenny, Phil, and the kids came over last night. Jenny was cutting and coloring my hair and Sam decided to use some of the extra bleach for highlights. Sam wasn't so sure about the foils but we thought he looked cute. Mark thought he and I looked like "Ghostbusters" fans.

Saturday night Sam and I went to a BBQ at Stacy's house. My Aunt Lisa and my cousin Christine were there as they drove across the country. I don't think I have seen them since I was in 7th grade. Christine had her kids with her also. Charlie and Coralee were also there with their family. My parents were out of town. We had a fun time seeing each other and catching up. Sunday night Mitchell asked us if he could give the dog a bath. We said yes of course. Then there was a phone call for Mitchell and I went looking for him. Saturday Mark and Mitchell braved the cold, hail, and rain to go fishing. It was free fishing day in Utah so the lakes and reservoirs were well stocked. Katie and Mark B. met up with them once the weather improved. They caught an Albino Trout and lots of other fish! They had a great day.

Mitch and Sam arrived and we had a great weekend with them. Friday night we headed to Highland Glen Park with some KFC and Sydney to go fishing. Mark had fun fishing!

A Big Day!

Tomorrow is a big day for the Capell Family. Not only are Mitch and Sam arriving for the summer but Becca is starting college at Salt Lake Community College and Sam is graduating from Elementary School.

We are so proud of Becca. She is a hard working, responsible young lady. It is exciting to see her excitement at starting school and living on her own. She has grown up so much in the last year and half since she came to live with us. We love her and are glad to have her in Utah!

We can't believe little Sam is moving on from Elementary School. He is still our little Sammie! It amazes us the vocabulary and imagination he has. He is so smart and sweet.
And he definitly has his father's sarcastic sense of humor. This is a favorite picture of Sam from a couple years ago when he was taking care of me after surgery!

Excitement is building at our house-- Mitch and Sam arrive on Wednesday for the summer(Jack will be arriving on July 1st). The boys start Golf lessons the day after they arrive and Mark is planning on taking them fishing the 1st Saturday they are in town. When they were here this spring we all agreed to wait to see the new "Indiana Jones" movie together- so far we have made it. The boys haven't seen the old movies so I bought those and Sam has planned that we start watching them the day after they arrive one a day and then we can go see the new movie! The other day Sam asked me if we could find a stud hamster to impregnant the female hamsters that we have--I thought that was pretty funny-- but the answer was definitly NO! Sam is pretty good at getting me to give in-but not on this one. Let's just say that Mark and I would not be upset if the hamsters were to run away from home, be eaten by the dog, etc. Hopefully the weather will be good and we can hit 7 Peaks with Sydney soon after they arrive!

Mark and I just got back from two nights up at the Zermatt in Midway. I had a conference there for work, so we decided to take advantage of the discounted rates. It is one of our favorite places to stay. It was a nice peaceful couple of days-- even if work did interfere and poor Mark and had to commute to Provo. It was nice to spend some time together and relax.

I took Sasha to the vet today. This isn't the greatest picture of her, but she was not very cooperative. The vet thinks that he felt 3 puppies! We are so excited. Next week Sasha goes back for a blood test. If she is pregnant she will be due around June 12th!!!

Who cooks dinner: Me. When we were dating he actually cooked more than I did but that has changed since being married-which is fine with me, I was glad to give up doing laundry.

Who drives: Mark. My driving scares him because I turn to look at him too much when we are talking--he says it's a woman thing!

Who wears the pants: When I asked this to Mark he laughed and said that I know who does--so apparently that is me. Mark is pretty laid back and I am the planner in the family.

Who proposed to whom? There was never a proposal. We starting talking more about marriage and house hunting. After we put an offer on our house I asked him if we were going to live there together and he said yes and that he thought we would get married on the anniversary of our first date--pretty romantic I think. The kids give him a hard time for not proposing but it obviously all worked out.

One thing people don't know about him: Mark likes to make up his own lyrics to songs that are really funny-especially when he is tired. I think some of the times I have laughed the hardest in my life are to his lyrics.

Life at the Capell House

Thought it was about time to update what we have been up to! Last week was my birthday so Mark and I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point with his Dad, Lance, and Lorraine. It was a lot of fun and actually warm weather that day. It was really pretty though there were still a lot of tulips that weren't quite ready to bloom yet. We are hoping to go back this weekend again and see more of the flowers.

We are hoping to have an addition to our family soon. We took our little Sasha to breed with Dante- a 3.5 pound Yorkie. It took some work but things finally worked out between them. Hopefully next week we can find out if she is expecting or not. All the kids are really hoping that she is pregnant- though I think it is going to be a battle to convince the kids to let us sell the puppies as planned. The good thing is if she is expecting she will be due right when Mitch and Sam get here for the summer, so the puppies will get lot of love and attention while Mark and I are working.

Last weekend was the Child Abuse Awareness Month 5k that I was in charge of. It was a huge success and a lot of fun! My family is awesome to help out at the race each year-Mark started helping out at the races when we had been dating only a few weeks and now this was his 5th race to be involved with. Mark's Dad also came and helped again. And Katie and her boyfriend came and Katie was able to get Einsteins to donate bagels for the race!

Mark and I got released from teaching the 11 year old boys at Church- we weren't exactly upset by this release. Now we are in Nursery and loving it. It's a lot of fun and the kids are really cute! Sunday after church we had the girls and Jack to dinner. It was a reallly fun night. It's great to have the girls over and to see the growth that they are making in their personal lives! Mark and I are now living alone- besides the dog and hamsters-- for the first time since we got married really. Luckily Mitch and Sam will be back for the summer on June 4th and we see Becca and Katie as much as we can! I've been up in Ogden for the last two days for work so Mark has been on his own. Being away even for two days makes me appreciate what a great husband he is even more- last night when I was talking to him he was doing the laundry so I would come home to a clean house! Talk about a great husband!

Next thing on our agenda is finishing the back yard(yes we know we have lived in the house for a year and a half) and getting the garden planted!

Last weekend

Here's a little more from last weekend when Mitchell and Sam were here. Saturday night Mark was so excited to be able to go to Priesthood session with Mitchell! They went with Lance and Phil and then out to dinner. Meanwhile, Sam and I went to SouthTowne Mall with Jenny, Carlee, Bodie, Sydney, and Lorraine. We had a great time and Sam discovered Converse sneakers and had fun hanging out with Syndey

while Bodie had a great time on the Carousel.

Sunday we headed over to Lance and Lorraine's in between conference sessions for dinner. Cassi and Josh were in town and it was great to see them. Check out Mitchell helping Josh learn how to play the guitar.

We also celebrated the April birthdays- Jenny (5th), Cassi (11th) and Me (14th). We celebrated my birthday early so that the boys could be there. Mitchell and Sam gave me these great cards and Beckman perfume- it smells great. Mark gave me beautiful black onyx earrings to match the necklace I got for Valentine's Day. He is such a great husband.

The new toy!

In January we discovered Jump On It in Lindon-- an indoor trampoline playground. The kids had a great time there. They had these bounce boards that the boys loved- kind of like a snowboard for the tramp. We went online and found them and got one for the kids for Easter. The cousins loved it also! Mitchell spent a lot of time working on tricks on the board.
Mitchell catches some serious air- I was slightly concerned he was going to kill himself on the board at times. Luckily no injuries.

Sam and Mitchell flew back to Florida today. It was hard as always to say goodbye to them. The house always has this weird feeling after they leave-- way to quiet and like something is missing. It's hard to even clean up the little things they left out because they are sweet reminders of the time we had. We had a really good visit and did lots of fun things besides just being together as a family. This week I will finish blogging the pictures from the trip! Luckily they will be back in less than two months!

We thought it would be fun to take the kids skiing and snow boarding. Katie and Becca had been snowboarding before but Mitch and Sam hadn't. Mitchell took a snowboarding class and Sam took a skiing class- he thought it was safer :). We had a few camera difficulties so we don't have any pictures of Becca and Katie on their snowboards-- but they had a great time.

We decided it would be fun to get tickets for Stadium of Fire this year. The boys weren't too excited about seeing Miley( in fact they said they would bring ipods to listen to while she sings) but were excited to see BlueMan Group, Glen Beck, and the fireworks show. Not having young girls, we didn't really know how crazy the ticket purchasing would go. The plan was Lance would buy 8 tickets at work and I would buy 8 tickets from our house. Luckily I got on the computer about 10 minutes early and got into the virtual waiting room. I ended up being able to get 13 tickets- in the different areas, but Lance was never able to get any tickets. Now we just need to figure out who is going. Mark has said he would be willing to "sacrifice" and stay home. It should be a fun night. Sydney of course is VERY excited to see Miley!

Our Trip to Build A Bear

Sydney, Sam, Mitchell, Becca and, Susan went to Build A Bear and all created our own stuffed animal except Katie couldn't come so we all made hers!

Sydney made a monkey and named her Kylee, I Sam, made a cheetah and named mine Tucker, Mitchell made a black bear and named his Big Papi, Becca also made a cheetah but Becca didn't name hers, and then Becca also made Katie's and Katie's also didn't have a name!

The trip was awesome and I thank Sydney because whith out her we all would've been totally lost and I also thank Susan for buying all the build a bears except Sydney, Sydney bought her own!

Last Fall we went on a cruise for our 1st Anniversary. We stopped and saw the boys before and after the cruise. Then in October we headed back to Florida for a conference for my work. We managed to fit in some fun while we were there.

Mark and Mitchell went fishing and had lots of fun. Of course if Mitchell is there you know fish are going to be caught. He is the luckiest fisherman around.

Sam, Mark, and I took a boat ride around the lake at the hotel we were staying at. Florida may be the "Sunshine State" but it rained everyday we there. But we had a great time anyways.
